Family Day at the University of the Cordilleras

The University of the Cordilleras' faculty and admin in Baguio City held their annual family day last weekend. It was a circus-like theme, with clowns and acrobats performing to the delight of the kids and grown-ups alike.

I need serious practice and coaching when it comes to action shots. Here are samples of what I'm talking about... it's all a blur to me.
When I engaged the flash, I got a somewhat desired result for the action, but the flash efectively dims the whole photo.

I lowered the ISO to 100 and followed this player, then took the photo. I really need more work on action shots.
