I have seen Pitcher Plants before in the Philippines, but it is a rare sight and only in the mountains. I was surprised to see it as a potted plant here in New Zealand. There aren't a lot of flies here, though. I have seen butterflies and huge bees; I hope they aren't a major part of the plant's diet, as these are the good bugs.

Baclaran Church
The week before we went to Neew Zealand, I was able to drop by the Baclaran Church with friends Yoyo, Mitch, and Roger. I wished for a safe trip, and that we will be well in our new place.
Stalls outside the Church sold religious images. That's one thing we don't have at home right now...
